Iconic cafe by day turned impressive wedding venue by evening/afternoon, Higher Ground has got to be one of the most impressive industrial wedding venues in Melbourne. I was so excited to capture Hannah and Dean’s wedding at this beautiful venue, and I was not disappointed. The view of the ceremony from the upper story was insane, seriously just scroll down and look at it, and I ate the best brie of my life that night. Aside from the stunning location, this was such a fun day. Hannah and Dean planned and styled this day to perfection in the lead up but on the day they really centred their friends and family (especially their beautiful little girl), and this wedding turned into one big party pretty quickly after the documents were signed. Seriously their friends and family properly cheered throughout the ceremony, it’s days like these that make me feel so grateful to be a wedding photographer.
Laura and Ben's Wedding at The Baker's Wife
This wedding was so gorgeous, not just because Laura is really bloody good at DIY styling and this iconic Melbourne industrial cafe was a perfect venue for the relaxed, party vibe they were going for, but also because their friends and family were so invested and happy for their little family! Laura and Ben have a beautiful baby boy together (I didn’t include pictures of him for privacy) and they had literally just finished building their family home together a few weeks before the wedding happened, something Ben said he’d never do again haha (the house build while wedding planning, not the actual house build!). These two were already well on the way to building their family life together when they made it official, and it made it all the more worth celebrating. Their day was one big (hella good looking) party, just as they wanted it.
