Jade and Adam planned on getting married a lot closer to Melbourne, but when they saw Cave Hill Creek they couldn’t get married anywhere else. I fell in love with the place too, it’s so serene, with the Grampians in the distance, that lake that could the the one from The Notebook and the outdoor reception area, plus THAT boatshed ^^^ holy shit! I don’t want to sound like a sponsored travel post, but bloody hell, it’s an insanely beautiful venue that suited this bride and groom so well. This was just a perfect day and during speeches every single person that spoke commented on how there was no doubt in their mind that Jade and Adam are perfect for each other. They are best friends and sometimes it felt like they were communicating in another language that I couldn’t see or hear because they are just so in tune with each other and were 100% there for each other on their wedding day. It was really beautiful to witness and a lot of fun to capture.
A lot of people are curious about my photography and video package and how I manage to capture both without two shooters; and of course, exactly how much I actually manage to capture in pictures and on film. I’ll cover the ‘how’ in another post, but Jade and Adam’s is one where I covered photo and video on my own (though I usually have an assistant with me who manages my gear) so you can see for yourself what kind of coverage my clients can expect. Also, three of the images in here are film stills, not actual photos, which I occasionally use to ensure the couple has a still image and video footage for their highlights video. See if you can tell the difference. It’s noticeable, but for sharing online, a wedding album or small prints, a film still is ace.
