I usually stick to smaller weddings of 120 guests or less because generally more the guests there are, the more exhausted I am by the end of the night, but Naomi and Dario had upwards of 200 guests in the middle of Melbourne and yet it was one of the most relaxed and easy weddings that I’ve ever shot. Naomi and Dario and their (massive) families are just really, really kind and friendly people and we hit it off immediately. I felt so welcomed, and these photos make me smile because I was smiling all day long. The ceremony took place in St Thomas Aquinas which legitimately looks like a Greek chapel but is actually hidden in South Yarra, the priest was a friend of theirs and was hands down the most fashionable man of the church I’ve ever met and he prompted more laughter than I’ve ever seen in a church. We went for photos at the Royal Botanic Gardens and Naomi and Dario trusted me completely to take them to my favourite spots with no idea beforehand of what I had in mind, and then we headed to The Park Melbourne on Albert Park Lake for one hell of a party. There are a lot of photos here so if you get bored do skip down to the dance floor shots because there are some crackers. I hid the wedding video at the end of the post so that you have to scroll for it….
