James and Julia are the kind of people who treat you like family from the moment they meet you, they’re fantastic parents and they put their kids, their relationship and their family first on their wedding day, which is always beautiful to witness. I just adore this family, and this venue, and the band they chose, so it’s safe to say that I had a really really good day at this one. I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at All Smiles Sorrento many times over the years and aside from consistently being knowledgeable, professional and organised, they always take care of me. Once I was in desperate need of paracetamol at one wedding and Kat Sillars (who happened to be the celebrant at Julia and James’) hunted tablets down for me, so basically I owe them my life, plus there’s that beautiful rocky spot just a short walk down the beach which I have shot at many times and I always come away with totally different images. Now a little rant about the band, Something Borrowed. I run into Brendan and Adam at weddings a few times a year and when I do, I know that it’s going to be a good night. These guys are amazing and always set the mood for a great party. They’re also just very lovely guys. I’m blubbering about this one but sometimes you just want to rave about people who deserve to be raved about, and this wedding was full of excellent people, none more-so than Julia and James who brought us together and made us feel so valued and appreciated.
